Earlier this summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Heba Subeh-Hyder, a Palestinian-American author of the children's series, Maymunah's Musingsand a Disabilities Concern ambassador for Human Concern International Canada.

Watch our discussion below and get a glimpse into how she approaches authorship and her insights into the great responsibility of writing as a Muslim.

Are you a writer or the friend of a writer? Reach out to us on our contact page (or DM us on Instagram) to request a free interview. We want to promote and support authors, no matter if they’re traditionally published, self-published, or not-yet published! The only requirements are:

  1. the participant's work is fiction, non-fiction, fanfiction, poetry, songs, or anything else that is written (we are not interviewing artists of other media at this time, but stay tuned for changes!)
  2. the participant's work belongs to themselves (in the case of fanfiction, transformative works are allowed) and has not been "written" in whole or in part by generative AI

Until next time everyone,

Happy reading and writing!
